Is there still an opportunity for selling on Etsy using AI?

You will save a lot of costs if you use this method

Well,

In this article, I will show you tips on how to design competitive products on Etsy using AI.

But the question at the beginning of the article is whether AI can help us sell products or not?

I will prioritize research before moving on to the next step. First, let’s find some products that AI can create.

Above are example images of two vectors I found on Etsy, with sales of over 100 orders in two months.

For the first product, it achieved 109+ sales within two weeks of listing, whereas the second product’s statistics were obtained via the Chrome Extension Heyetsy.

And within one month, the two stores above sold at least 800+ units.

This is truly an impressive figure!

So the issue I was pondering at the beginning of the article has been resolved.

But wait, to be more certain, I will try using some AI tools to see if they can generate similar images.

What is my idea?

  • Consult the best-selling products on Etsy using the Heyetsy Tool
  • Use AI to generate and create competitive features
  • Use Photoshop/Illustrator to resize images
  • Upload to Etsy and optimize ads

I will skip the step of finding best-selling products, as I have already mentioned it in my previous articles, which you can refer to.

Ok,

The most exciting part is using AI to generate images.

I used MidJourney to create images; you can use Playground (I am also appreciating this AI tool, but haven’t had the chance to try it yet)

I will describe everything that might be related to the design image I want; below is the prompt I wrote.

The factor for AI to work effectively is

you have to write the photo description as detailed as possible

vector t-shirt design of a playful Halloween-themed illustration with four chickens dressed in various costumes. The text above the chickens reads “Chick or treat” in a whimsical font, playing on the traditional Halloween phrase “trick or treat.” First Chicken: Dressed as a ghost, with a white sheet covering its body and a small purple witch hat on its head. The sheet has two black eye holes cut out. Second Chicken: Wearing a carved pumpkin as a mask, with the pumpkin’s face showing a classic jack-o’-lantern expression. This chicken is also holding a basket, likely for collecting treats. Third Chicken: Not wearing a costume but standing naturally, possibly representing a regular chicken amidst the dressed-up ones. Fourth Chicken: Wrapped in white bandages, resembling a mummy. The bandages cover its entire body, including its head, with only its beak and eyes visible. Additionally, there are two small pumpkins on the ground, one on each side of the group, adding to the Halloween atmosphere. The background is a white color, making the characters and text stand out.

Results that I have achieved, along with different versions, now I can tweak them a bit to make them more competitive compared to the original version which I am ready to sell on Etsy

Apply similarly by writing a detailed prompt, and I can achieve results nearly identical to the original that are competitive by using AI to generate images.

Please review the design below, I’ll do something similar. The more detailed the description, the better the AI-generated image will be.
