I noticed that posts with formatting and content like those in university textbooks are often overlooked.

What I mean is…

The content of the post, if it is scientific in nature, leaning towards research, is often not paid much attention.

Well,

Either I’m a fool for saying that.

But please don’t judge me, just see if the things I found below will surprise you.

Content written by ChatGPT can never evoke the same emotions as writing from a person, as writers demand more finesse.

I still prefer reading Storytelling-style posts because they feel very authentic.

  • Copywriting matters.
  • Spacing matters.
  • Most importantly, credibility matters.

How to build trust when I am just starting out in writing without needing to have 10,000 followers?

Try putting yourself in the reader’s shoes and ask yourself:

Why should I read this article?

What does this article have to offer me?

Is this story realistic?

What evidence is there? Does the storyteller inspire me?

Think about it, what would make you excited to read an article on social media and be captivated by it?

Your worries… (I’m not good at that, how can I write?)

I realize that no one cares who you are. They only care about the story you tell, whether it is truly useful to them or not.

Just like no one asks you to become a chef before writing about cooking, no one asks you to be an award-winning writer before you write a book.

Hmm…

Now isn’t everything easier?

Try starting with the two strategies below:

1.) Tell personal stories

You see this strategy with YouTubers and TikTokers, Facebook Group.

And almost all personal stories have the potential to receive a large amount of interaction.

You should try it out:

  • Tell your story.
  • That’s instant credibility.

This is an example:

I am telling the story of my selling experience on Etsy.

Unlike many others out there, my sales figures are far below those selling on this platform.

Based on statistics from MediumStats, it shows that personal storytelling posts have a higher rate of interaction.

No joke!

You can verify this by visiting my personal wall to see.

The readers will understand that I am just as normal as they are.

The readers can easily sense what I am talking about.

Importantly, they also see me make mistakes just like them, and the readers perceive my perspective.

It inspires them.

And what the readers receive is:

  • The lessons they learned.
  • Mistakes to avoid.
  • The tips and tricks that worked for them

That’s all the credibility we need.

2.) Write about someone with credibility

Luckily I have experience with Etsy

… Just a little

Sometimes I don’t know what to write next, so the question is how to solve that problem?

Tell a story about someone who is really successful

Most importantly, from your perspective.

The majority of my articles follow this strategy.

Since I can’t claim to be an expert, I’ll borrow credibility from someone who is.

This is an example, I’m talking about Vu2day, who has experience on Pinterest.

And there was a case study on how to generate xxx visits per month.

(completely free)

Sounds interesting!

And I tell that story from my perspective.

With specific analysis evidence, readers will see that the story I convey has another perspective.

And it is still based on what is happening.

Based on statistics from MediumStats, Once again, my post has gone viral.

The article below is for your reference on how to do it.

I will never be able to do as well as he does, if I share the same thing then it’s no different than me being a liar.

Instead, I can borrow the credibility from Vu2day’s story to share about his wisdom, the way he does things.

My article content will become more intimate and appealing.

If you think about it, borrowing credibility accomplishes two things:

1.) You’re curating the information the reader is looking for. Basically, doing their homework for them.

2.) You’re reframing information by telling a personal story, which gives you more credibility.

Everyone is a credible writer.

I hope this article helps you realize, you don’t need to be Mr. Beast to be a credible writer.

Please think carefully based on my two suggestions above.

I promise that’s not how online writing works.

Get emotional, tell stories, and write about someone who inspired you.

Write something you would want to read.
