He started an Etsy shop with high hopes until reality struck.
He showed that selling on Etsy with AI art is not easy at all, I mean, it’s really hard.
And here are some points he discovered.
Is the Youtuber trying to deceive us?
There is a lot of information about AI images on Etsy based on the search toolbar on Youtube.
Most of all the videos show viewers that selling AI products is easy and profitable.
Characteristics of these videos:
- High profits
- Views of the videos are very high (probably only for enthusiastic viewers but do not teach you detailed sales techniques)
Surely, when selling AI images, you will have to upload hundreds of listings to achieve a stable sales volume.
So we can see that the higher the Volume, the easier the marketing.
Similarly, if the niche you choose on Etsy has high demand, you’ll find it easier to sell.
He believes that you need VOLUME to make sales on Etsy, or you’re really good at marketing.
Hold on… Have you tried thinking for a few minutes whether your niche market can really sell well?
Or do you think all markets are the same?
But maybe you don’t need that, this is just my perspective, I want to share some additional insights without any intention.
Having 100 listings will make it easier to sell, with 10 listings you can still make sales, but with only 5 listings, your chances of selling will be very low.
So even if you have 1000+ listings, you may not see a significant increase in sales.
