“The astonishing result that you can achieve when applying Artificial Intelligence to your business on Etsy is the ability to earn at least $2,200 per month, with the support of AI technology (MidJourney).”

In the previous section, we together explored the potentials of applying AI in business on Etsy.

In this section, we will delve deeper into MidJourney.

Below is the sequence of steps I will need to execute:

  1. Utilize MidJourney to generate design images.
  2. Employ the image enlargement tool.
  3. Place the image on a mockup.
  4. Upload the product to the Etsy store.
  5. Optimize the product.
  6. Monitor product effectiveness / Manage advertising.
  7. Repeat the process.

Applying MidJourney to design image creation. Please search for the keyword phrase “how to using MidJourney” on Google.

There will be numerous tutorials available for you to follow.

It’s quite straightforward indeed!

After spending some time acquainting myself with MidJourney, it took me approximately 2 to 3 days to initiate engagement with this AI tool.

Upon grasping the fundamental understanding of MidJourney, I will be able to illustrate visuals as depicted below, using the concepts within my mind.

As depicted in the image above, it only takes me around approximately 30 seconds to generate 4 versions. However, if I were the designer, I am concerned that it would take at least a few days to finalize such images as shown above 🥲.

At first listen, it might sound complex, but once you get accustomed to it, you will find that it’s not very difficult to do.

Which image enlargement tool is suitable?

With a maximum size of approximately 1000x1000 that MidJourney can generate, it still does not meet the requirements for printing on products. An additional step is necessary to upscale the image that has just been created.

I am using a tool that supports image upscale within my understanding.

I encourage the use of the following tools:

  • Gigapixel
  • Bigjpg

“Utilize the tools you are familiar with to maximize efficiency and effectiveness!”

And boom...

We've got the world's finest quality image in our hands, boasting a replication potential that's almost close to 0.

Leveraging Canva to craft the product mockup.

After you have the design file you’re satisfied with, we have two methods to simulate that design onto the product:

  1. Utilizing Photoshop
  2. Employing the Canva tool

Personally, I find using Canva to be more convenient. In this case study, there’s a portion involving a 180-degree rotated tumbler. If done in Photoshop, it might not provide the necessary support or might require more advanced techniques.

With Canva, they seem to have it pre-applied, making the process quicker.

Sales Strategy for Digital Image Files

If we were to place you in a medieval battle, then at this moment, you have all the resources you need to be ready for combat.

Now, let’s consider how to sell this product? I’ve noticed a few stores offering very low prices in a short period. This stimulates customer shopping demand during the initial market development phase within the store (of course, this only applies to the initial sales period if you’re still thinking about long-term profitability).

The image above clearly illustrates a strategic approach they are taking to enhance their product ranking on Etsy by:

  1. Temporarily reducing product prices.
  2. Implementing bundle sales strategies.
  3. Pairing their products with high-demand items.

Moreover, they maintain a consistent daily upload of listings.

By tracking several stores, the approach mentioned above has facilitated significant growth for the businesses in less than a month.
